  • Zion's 2nd Annual Yard Sale, June 22

Get ready for Zion's 2nd Annual Yard Sale, which will take place Saturday, June 22, 8:00AM - 2:00PM! The proceeds will go to Oregon Synod Mission support. If you have items to donate for the sale, you may leave them at the church the week of June 16.

Can you help with the sale? Look for sign-up sheets in the fellowship hall for work crews, or contact Carole Halverson.

  • Welcome to Pastor Colleen!

As we bid a heartfelt farewell to Pastor Young, we look forward to the Reverend Colleen Nelson's arrival at Zion as our Pastor-in-Residence beginning June 17. Pastor Colleen comes to us most recently from Battle Creek, Michigan, where she served as interim pastor. Watch this space for more information!

  • Celebrate the Feast of Pentecost, May 16

In the church year, the day of Pentecost is the culmination of the 50 days of the Easter celebration. After Jesus showed himself to the disciples and after having ascended, Jesus’ followers received the promised gift of the Holy Spirit. On the fiftieth day of Easter, our Lutheran worship is filled with festivity, color, and movement as we both conclude the Easter celebration and welcome anew the gift of the Holy Spirit.

Come worship at Zion this Sunday! We encourage you to wear red for Pentecost as a sign that the Holy Spirit comes to all the believers, not just the leaders of our community. We will also adorn the outside of the church with red banners and the sanctuary with red geraniums. If you would like to donate geraniums for this, please bring them to the church by Saturday morning.
